Melissa Herrera, formerly Melissa McKinney, has been involved in the Real Estate industry since 2022, where she started as a Transaction Coordinator for broker owner of Blue Sky Homes and Land, Bill Stanley. Now as a licensed agent she is well prepared to take on the growing industry of Real Estate!

Melissa is a born and raised, fourth generation family member of Montezuma County in Southwest Colorado, and a Dolores High School graduate. Growing up in Montezuma County she is familiar with the area and has a number of connections with people in the community of all different backgrounds. She has worked in the service industry in Cortez for many years, which has brought her even more connections with people from right here in the Four Corners, as well as people traveling through to experience this beautiful place we call home.

From a young age Melissa has been involved in 4-H and FFA, and still volunteers as a superintendent for the program today. The lessons and morals taught through these programs over the years truly resonate with her and how she lives her life. She loves being an active member of the community.

Her interests are very diverse and include cooking/baking (with her husband who is a chef), cake decorating, leathercraft, spending time with her family, hiking, and spoiling her many pets.
